AI Tools Can Now Copy Human Handwriting

It appears that everything is within the reach of artificial intelligence in this rapidly developing field.

The latest achievement is the result of the creative brains at the Mohamed Bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence in Abu Dhabi. They have shown an AI tool that has the pretty fascinating capacity to accurately duplicate someone's handwriting. Even more amazing is how little training this model needs—just a few paragraphs of reference writing are all it takes to get such expertise.

It was wonderful to witness that level of validation for the performance, since many were unable to discern the imitated handwriting from the real handwriting.

Artificial Intelligence has demonstrated its capabilities in several fields, ranging from voice imitation to creating completely fake visuals. It seems like handwriting is the newest frontier this unrelenting technological power has won. It is important to note, nevertheless, that the model's primary focus—at least initially—is on imitating English writing, with other languages having to wait their time. Unfortunately for the curious people, this AI marvel is still a closely-kept secret and isn't available to the general public just yet.

The researchers' accomplishment is further recognized by the fact that they have been given a patent for this innovative instrument.

But there are frequently yang and yin in the field of artificial intelligence. Even the researchers admit that abuse is a possibility. The ability to imitate handwriting makes the possibility of forgeries and other illegal activity more real.

Because it may be abused, we are quite cautious about it. Handwriting is a person's identity, thus before using it, we are considering this carefully.

This AI advancement's committed research team isn't satisfied to just throw their brainchild into the world unchecked. During an open discussion with Bloomberg, they disclosed their dedication to creating instruments intended to impede counterfeiting.
